Casa Loewe finds a home in Paragon
Paragon Mall on Orchard Road has opened its doors to welcome Casa Loewe. The boutique, spanning nearly 3,000 sq ft, was designed by Loewe’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson, and evokes the ambience of a stately home with stucco walls, black Marquina marble, silver travertine tiles, and polished Capri limestone flooring.
The shop features a homey décor, and is elegantly done up as its name hints at. The brightly-lit abode is a welcome change from other Loewe’s stores that usually sport a darker outlook. Agate stone slabs line the entrance’s ceiling, mimicking the effect where sunlight pours through tree branches that shade a patio or stairwell. The slabs are a reinterpretation of the emerald green canopy that was first designed by architect Javier Carvajal in 1959, for the brand’s flagship store in Paris.
Walnut-toned tables display the latest bags and accessories, linen curtains provide an illusion of surprises hiding behind, and taupe wool carpets with plush armchairs invite customers to sit and browse coffee table books, or simply model the ready-to-wear collection like they would at home. A giant cube occupies much of the middle area, lining the products neatly in eye-catching rainbow hues.
To top it off, Casa Loewe Paragon offers limited edition accessories that are only available in Singapore, such as the Puzzle bag, T pouch and Elephant coin purse in white.
