The House that ralph built

The city of London has inspired the company for almost 50 years," says David Lauren, chief innovation officer and vice chairman and youngest son of Ralph Lauren. “The name Polo comes from a great English sensibility and the sport that my father watched from America. He wanted to create clothing that embodied this lifestyle."

From being inspired by the rich heritage and tradition of England, it is most fitting that Polo Ralph Lauren’s first flagship store in Europe is on Regent Street in London. The flagship sprawls across three floors, measuring up to a whopping 1,631sqm.

The Regent Street store is also the first flagship to debut The Polo Custom Shop: a customisation service that allows customers to put their own spin on the brand’s most iconic pieces such as Oxford and polo shirts, navy blazers and the Sullivan saddlebag. Shoppers can choose their own colours for fabrics, embroidery and monogramming as well as artwork ranging from the iconic Polo pony, national flags, polo bears and a variety of dog breeds including an English bulldog and a Corgi.
