The illustrious history of Ulysse Nardin as a supplier of world-class marine and pocket chronometers is alluded to by this latest Diver Le Locle novelty. Inspired by a 1964 piece from the house collection, it boasts specifications expected of a pure diving watch.
These include oversized hands and indexes coated in Super Luminova, a uni-directional fluted bezel and a water resistance rating of 100 metres for the 42.2mm piece. On the dial, small seconds sit at the six o’clock while the magnified date at the three o’clock can be set both backwards and forwards — no light technical feat. The automatic movement carries the manufacture’s famed non-lubricated silicium escapement and hairspring while the power reserve states approximately 48 hours.
