Singapore was built on seafaring, so what could be more apt than to have its very own rum, the traditional drink of mariners? Capella Singapore has launched Navegante (‘navigator’ in Spanish) to be enjoyed at the Sentosa hotel’s Bob’s Bar.
Categorised as a ‘single blended rum’ and made with a combination of traditional and innovative methods, Navegante was created by Richard Seale, the fourth-generation master distiller and blender for Foursquare Rum Distillery, a family- owned business in Barbados.
Enjoy it as an Old Fashioned or Rum Manhattan cocktail or in one of Bob’s Bar’s signature drinks such as a Fresh Pressed Mojito. Up the indulgence with some chocolates or preserved cherries – or forego all the fuss and drink it straight up at S$18++ per glass. The rum can also be purchased at Bob’s Bar at S$300++ per 750ml bottle.
