High-Tea at E18hteen, Resorts World Genting
Pushing boundaries is a common theme for E18hteen at Resorts World Genting. Offered from 3pm to 5.30pm daily for two, this new stylish high-tea serves up a mix of East and West, firmly anchored by a good strong cuppa.
Start with a sweet plate of cheesecakes, carrot cakes, fruit tartlets and a Chinese egg tart, followed by a savoury and sweet mix that includes smoked salmon on brioche with horse radish cream, American lobster with celery, chives and homemade mayo in a soft roll and oriental golden rolls with salted egg yolk on a bed of delightfully crispy tempura-fried microgreens. You’ll also get to try an Ogura cream (cream whipped with adzuki beans) sandwich and traditional scones, with clotted cream and strawberry jam on the side.
A blend of pineapple juice and subtle hints of choy sum clears the palate for the third portion. A Torofuwa espresso pudding is flamed tableside with Hennessy, and a warming fresh almond milk pudding with hasma (snow frog) and ginger syrup concludes the refined experience.
