Sober up for a moment and believe it. A whisky pairing dinner featuring the best of Macallan is set to happen on one night, and one night only, this month.
Blackwattle will be hosting a Macallan whisky dinner on 20 April. It will showcase Macallan’s Rare Cask, Fine Oak, and Double Cask. The menu promises an epicurean delectation.
The five-course dinner starts off boldly with a bone marrow dressing paired with the full-flavoured Macallan Rare Cask. Next, the Langoustine with XO sauce is chased by the Macallan Fine Oak 15 Years, with the whisky’s floral and fruity profile complementing the delicate sweetness of the crustacean. Mains feature options of David Blackmore wagyu or barramundi, both paired with the Double Cask 12 Years.
The course ends with a Jackfruit custard and another Fine Oak, this time the 12 years. Mellow and sweet all around, just a perfect end to a perfect night, we reckon.
