The couture lipstick collection will add an exuberant splash of red to your next date night in Singapore

It’s a staple which every woman should keep in her pouch: the trusty, classic red lipstick. If you were thinking of a decadent bottle of fragrance instead, you’re right too, and a scent from Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie might just do the trick. But when it comes to makeup, the red lippy has unarguably been proven to be a powerful cosmetic tool: it saves the day for us ladies when a last-minute dinner event or party beckons, or even for that few hours of date night after work. And in this case, Dior’s new Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge lipstick collection will help you find the perfect shade of red for your skin tone.

The collection, which has featured iconic Hollywood star Natalie Portman as its muse, comprises 26 new semi-matte and high-pigment shades ($50) ranging from rich red and fuschias to deep purple and burgundy-pink. Not a fan of having to constantly touch up your lippy? You’ll be glad to know that these babies promise a 12-hour wear, and have been formulated to keep your lips hydrated while looking luminous at all times.

The two shades which I’d love to add to my own makeup stash are 999 Ultra Dior and 770 Ultra Love- the former sporting the perfect hue of red for formal evening occasions while the latter boasting a glamorous burst of fuschia for casual meet-ups with girlfriends.

Lip inks aside, you might also want to get your hands on the new Dior Rouge Ink Lip Liner ($45), the brand’s first liquid lipstick in a couture felt-pen available in 12 shades. Of course, matching your lips to your nails are a must, which brings us to Dior Vernis ($40), a range of four nail polishes that draws inspiration from the Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge lipstick collection.

The Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge lipstick collection is available in all Dior boutiques and selected departmental stores.
