The Bell & Ross BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon Tells a Colourful Story

Bell & Ross BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon

Creating a case from a block of sapphire is no easy feat. Bell & Ross has not only perfected the art, but also made us rethink the world of skeletonised dials

Bell & Ross continues its foray into the technically demanding world of transparent sapphire cases with three unique editions of its square-shaped BR series timepieces. The BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon also has a fully skeletonised dial.

Bell & Ross has taken advantage of the visibility to utilise coloured components for the movement. There is one in black, which is a nod to the aircraft instruments that inspired the signature line. One is in blue, which recalls the traditional blued hands on vintage watches. The final one is the most precious of all, made with solid pink gold. The black and blue editions are available exclusively online. They are priced at €400,000 (S$622,500), while the pink gold is €420,000 (S$654,000).
