Another day, another culinary collaboration. But you may be hard-pressed to find one so decorated as this: two Japanese greats coming together for a night.
On 27 April, chef Kazuo Takagi, of his eponymous Two-Michelin starred Kyoto Cuisine Takagi, will join forces (and hands) with celebrated head chef Akiba Shigeo of Nami Restaurant & Bar.
For one night only, the Japanese restaurant in Shangri-La Hotel Singapore transforms into simmering stage for the duo as they jointly present a seven-course dinner menu.
The dinner show begins with a parade through a 13-dish appetiser highlighting the best of spring. Look forward to savouring delicacies like Eel Chimaki Sushi, Steamed Abalone with Abalone Liver Sauce and Shiso Flower, and Lily Bulb with Foie Gras. The bountiful first course is then washed down by a soup of Steamed Rougie Homard Bleu with Sturia Caviar.
We’ll leave you to find out for yourselves the rest of the menu, but the theme of abundance follows through in both the food and the chefs’ artistry.
