  • Kimme was one of the most anticipated restaurant openings of this year, being the homier sister of one Michelin-starred Meta. Since then, group executive chef Sun Kim and head chef Louis Han have inspirited the Korean-Japanese gastronomy scene and breathed new life into Amoy Street. Its latest initiative: bringing us two nights of a collaborative tasting menu on 1 and 2 August, with head chef Nicco Santos of Hey Handsome.

Hey Handsome is from Manila, Philippines, but you’ll be surprised to find authentic, elevated Southeast Asian cuisine there. Think dishes like Bebek Penyet, Lamb Buah Keluak, Nasi Lemak with salmon otah, and even a perfect Durian Cream Puff. Needless to say, chef Santos has gourmet-travelled a substantial amount in the region. In fact, Hey Handsome focuses on the nuanced flavours and textures of Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine.

The tasting menu will feature Southeast Asian produce and spices. While we’re not quite sure what to expect, we’ve been told to prepare our tummies and come with an open heart (and belly).
