the colour of the speakers is no ordinary coat of black, they say

Piano black is the fourth colour to join Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound 1 wireless speaker (S$2,000), alongside silver, olive green and brass.

As with the rest of the BeoSound 1 range, the limited-run colourway has the features you’ve come to know and love with the speaker. It’s suspended slightly off the surface for better bass projection and its conical form allows for 360-degree sound projection.

It’s also a true wireless device, which boasts up to 16 hours of autonomy, says Bang & Olufsen.

But more than its features, Bang & Olufsen is keen to stress the limited-edition model is more than just a new coat of paint. The result of repeated polishing before and after anodising, the piano black finish on the speaker seems to absorb all available light.
