The latest high jewellery collection reflects the heritage and radiant personality of Fred Samuel–revealing the founder’s “ideal light”
This enchanting light, which inspired Fred Samuel’s creative fervour and his passion for coloured stones, has been skillfully interpreted by Valérie Samuel, vice-president and artistic director of the Maison, in the Monsieur Fred Ideal Light collection.
The illuminating oeuvre features Australian opals, Tanzanian spinels, Colombian emeralds, and Sri Lankan sapphires, with each piece reflecting Maison Fred’s exceptional technical prowess and creative ingenuity. Comprising four new chapters, the collection explores the full spectrum of coloured stones, presenting them in more vibrant combinations than before.
Inspired by the spontaneity of the neighbourhood of La Boca, the Blazing Audacity set boasts a double look that translates into five jewels with hues of fiery red, pink, and orange. Blending the organic and geometric forms so dear to the sunshine jeweller, each piece seems to release all the solar energy of Argentina that left such a mark on Monsieur Fred.
The journey continues to the beating heart of Buenos Aires, Montserrat, the city’s oldest district and a treasure trove of stories to stir the imagination. The Exalting Joy set draws inspiration from the embroidery of silky cotton and ornamental finery associated with the extravagant carnival costumes known to the district.
From Montserrat, we move to the lush natural setting of Palermo’s botanical garden, where the Bright Vitality set emerges as a moving fusion of wild beauty gently tamed by the jeweller’s hand. At the centre of the five creations in this set shines a stone of the most vibrant green: emerald.
Finally, we arrive at Mar Del Plata, a place teeming with emotions, dreams of adventure, and the absolute freedom that Fred Samuel cherished. The Endless Horizon set recounts this story through four creations that echo Fred Samuel’s love of the sea. These pieces pay homage to his passion for sailing, incorporating Maison Fred’s iconic cable and the Fred Hero Cut diamond, completing this exquisite journey through the vibrant landscapes and cultures of Argentina.
