The Robb Report CEO Series convenes some of the city’s most accomplished industry leaders under one roof

As the current global crisis disrupts economies and the lives of many, local companies have harnessed the power of tech to keep businesses afloat through such times. F&B establishments are heavily relying on online deliveries, and world-famous luxury watchmakers have released 2020 novelties through digital platforms. For some, going digital is par for the course, while for others, it’s akin to entering new territory. But more importantly, what’s the trick to making it work when physical interaction is completely taken out of the equation?

Robb Report Singapore’s signature CEO series – luncheons and dinners hosted by the president of Indochine Media, Michael von Schlippe – brings together the city’s most inspiring industry stalwarts. Before the ‘circuit breaker’ was set in place in early April, we treated a select few to a lunch at Spanish restaurant FOC, and took the opportunity to ask them what novel digital strategies they’ve implemented to help them cope with COVID-19.

Fruitful, thought-provoking conversations centred around the pandemic ensued over a specially crafted lunch menu that afternoon. The discussion spurred insightful opinions, including those by health experts Dale Fisher, a professor at National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Sue-Anne Toh, CEO and co-founder of NOVI Health. At the end of the luncheon, a general consensus was reached: the global crisis calls for companies to not just embrace digitalism more than before, but explore new territories in the world of digital.
