This circuit-breaker period, Robb Report Singapore will be working with the finest food producers to curate exclusive gifts for you and your loved ones
Singapore might currently be a ghost town, but in the kitchens of the city’s finest establishments, chefs are still donning their aprons and firing up their ovens to keep our palates satiated. As the purveyor of the finest things in life, Robb Report Singapore has collaborated with Singapore’s finest food producers to curate a menu or package exclusively for our discerning readers.
We might not be able to bring the stunning panorama from the vantage point of VUE Dining to you, but we have the next best thing: the restaurant, located on the 19th storey of OUE Bayfront in Marina Bay will be bringing its culinary speciality – Binchotan-grilled items – to your doorstep.
Its specially-curated four-course menu, at S$109+ per person, includes two starters, a main and a dessert.
The Scallop Carpaccio boasts a medley of zesty flavours. Served with slivers of golden kiwi, it’s topped with a lavish spoonful of caviar before being drizzled with a truffle ponzu dressing. This acts as a palate cleanser for what follows: a delightful Sando featuring breaded foie gras and shavings of truffle sandwiched in a homemade brioche bun.
You’ll get two choices for your main course. The grilled Iowa ‘Sakura’ Pork Rack is served with a side of roasted vine tomatoes and fondant potatoes. But for those who are trying VUE’s dishes for the first time, opt for the A5 “Kokuou” Black Wagyu Brisket, which has been slow-roasted for 24 hours. VUE’s steaks have always been a highlight at this restaurant, and this dish, while featuring a different cut, is no different. The brisket is accompanied by asparagus spears, marble potatoes and peppercorn sauce.
Dessert is where you’ll be spoilt for choice. The restaurant is offering our readers three different options – French Acacia Honey Cake, Burnt Cheesecake and Chocolate Hazelnut Yuzu Cake. Can’t decide? Neither can we.
Staying home during this period of time isn’t easy, we get it! But we’ll be keeping you company. Subscribe to our digital magazines for free, and check out what ideas we have for you. #StayHomeWithRobb #LoveYourLocalSG
