The 2025 Porsche 911 shows us how true love never goes out of style
Love is truly in the air. No, we’re not saying this because it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow (for those who’ve forgotten the date, consider this your last chance to scramble something together). For Porsche enthusiasts in Singapore, we imagine there’s only one object of desire this year: the all-new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Making its grand entrance earlier today, the latest 992.2-generation of the marque’s most iconic sports car arrived with much pomp and theatrics: a red-hot, love-themed soiree at the Helutrans Gallery, nestled within the Tanjong Pagar Distripark (which, in our opinion, was an absolutely perfect choice of venue for a one-minute hardcore joyride around the block). Guests gathered in celebration of a new generation of an icon that’s won hearts since 1963. And there’s no better way to mark the return of ‘The One and Always’ than with an all-encompassing makeover, under the skin and beyond.
So what’s new?
At first glance, the 2025 Porsche 911 retains its unmistakeable iconic silhouette, which we have no gripe about. Why mess with something that’s already perfect? Although, those with a keener eye will spot a little something different: a sharper front end, reworked Matrix LED headlights that integrates the turn signals, which clears up space for larger cooling vents below. Stroll to the back of the car, and you’ll see a new light strip spelling out the marque’s name which sits beneath a revamped rear grille. What you’re getting is a coupe with a broader, more confident (almost cocky, even) stance. Those who mean business will opt for the Aerokit, which comes with an unapologetically sporty rear wing fixed on, as well as a front apron.

Beneath its sculpted bodywork, Porsche has reworked its 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine with borrowed bits from last generation’s GTS and Turbo models. Think beefier turbochargers and a new air-cooler, which helps the new Carrera churn out 394 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. The result is a century sprint lasting 4.1 seconds (or 3.9 seconds even, assuming you’ve opted for the Sport Chrono package), pushing on to a top speed of 294 km/h. Not that we should get to that stage, but still.
Do we love what’s on the inside?
Slide into the driver’s seat and you’ll realise the interior has firmly stepped into the digital age. Porsche has bid adieu to the traditional instrument cluster, and in its place is a 12.6-inch curved display customisable layouts to suit every driver’s fancy. For the purists, a throwback “Classic” mode is still available, and shows the classic (duh) style of five analogue dials. Everything else is handled by a 10.9-inch touchscreen, and there’s a newly added push-start button on the left of the steering, nodding to Porsche’s racing heritage. The vibe we’re getting is one that’s modern, sleek, and unmistakably driver-focused.

The price of love
That’s right, true love comes at a price. The 2025 911 Carrera base model comes with a price tag of S$569,268, excluding COE and add-ons. Also on offer: the purist-favoured Carrera T (starting at S$620,488), and the Carrera S, which bumps power up to 473 bhp and starts at S$682,988.

If you still haven’t firmed up any plans for tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day date, here’s an idea. The 2025 911 Carrera will be on display at Porsche Studio Singapore from 14 February onwards–whether you’re in the market for one, or looking to admire the latest evolution of a time-enduring icon, it’s worth stopping by for a peep and perhaps a test drive. After all, some love affairs are worth the pilgrimage, right?
