Six celebrities flaunted stylish wrist candy on the streets this week
Some celebs weren’t afraid to bust out the bling this week. Australian actor Chris Hemsworth sported an iced-out Chopard Alpine Eagle at the premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga in Cannes on Wednesday evening, while Barbadian singer Rihanna rocked a dazzling Jacob & Co. watch set with 323 round white diamonds as she celebrated Mother’s Day in NYC.
Other A-listers opted for slightly more subtle wrist candy. Hollywood legend Jeff Goldblum wore a Cartier Tank LC to the BAFTAs, The Office star John Krasinski donned an IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 for the New York premiere of If, and Westworld lead James Marsden attended Disney Upfront in NYC with a Cartier Santos on his wrist. Succession powerhouse Brian Cox was also spotted wearing a refined Cartier Pasha Chronograph.

Chris Hemsworth: Chopard Alpine Eagle
Chris Hemsworth looked très chic at the Cannes Film Festival this week. The Australian actor wore an iced-out Chopard Alpine Eagle to the premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga on Wednesday evening. Inspired by the grace of the eagle and the glistening snow on the Alps, the timepiece features a 41 mm case made of 18-carat white gold and set with striking white diamonds. Diamonds also adorn the dial and integrated bracelet, while the bezel showcases trapeze-cut sapphires. Powered by Chopard’s in-house 01.03-C movement, the watch offers a power reserve of 60 hours. Rihanna: Jacob & Co. Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights
Rihanna shone bright like a diamond on Mother’s Day. The Barbadian singer rocked a dazzling Jacob & Co. watch set with 323 round white diamonds (11.2 carats) as she hit the streets of NYC with beau A$AP Rocky. Priced at US$72,000, the Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights pays homage to the hypnotizing natural phenomenon, Aurora Borealis, which occurs in the skies near the polar circle. The 44 mm stainless steel case is adorned with 251 round diamonds, while the crown and clasp are set with 30 and 42 stones, respectively. The bling is juxtaposed by a red mineral crystal dial fitted with leaf hands. The dial paired perfectly with RiRi’s red Comme des Garçons dress. The “Diamonds” singer has worn Jacob & Co.’s on her neck and ankle but decided to keep the Northern Lights on her wrist.
Brian Cox: Cartier Pasha Chronograph
Brian Cox often wears stylish outfits and enviable wrist candy. The BAFTA red carpet was no exception. The Scottish actor, who won the Leading Actor award for his turn as Logan Roy in Succession, paired a crisp white suit with a chic white Pasha de Cartier watch. Based on the original Pasha that Louis Cartier created for Marrakech pasha Thami El Glaoui in 1931, this modern reference is distinguished by a 41 mm steel case, a silvered flinqué dial, and a steel bracelet. The crown and pushers are set with synthetic spinels that coordinate perfectly with the diamond-shaped, blued-steel hands. John Krasinski: IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40
John Krasinski kept things nice and classic at the New York premiere of his new film If, pairing a relaxed suit with an understated IWC watch. Released at Watches and Wonders in Geneva last year, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 (Ref. IW328901) features a 40 mm stainless steel case, a black dial with luminescence finishes, and a stainless steel bracelet. Powered by the self-winding Caliber 32111, the piece offers a solid power reserve of 120 hours. The steely wrist candy is priced at US$11,700.
James Marsden: Cartier Santos
James Marsden has been an ambassador for IWC since 2020, but he wore Cartier to Disney Upfront in N.Y.C. on Tuesday. The Westworld star paired an elegant Thom Sweeney look with an equally elegant Santos de Cartier for the star-studded showcase. The watch features a large 39.8 mm case and bracelet made of yellow gold. The seven-sided crown is also gold and set with a faceted sapphire. Under the sapphire crystal lies a silvered opaline dial with sword-shaped, blued-steel hands, a railroad-style seconds and minutes track, and a date window at 6 o’clock. The classic costs US$36,600.
