The meticulous rework of the interior in this 993 Carrera S took more than 350 hours to complete

Teaming up with Porsche interior expert Justin Placek, this specialised restoration project of Daniel Arsham’s 993 Carrera S project car will mark the second collaboration between Arsham and Placek, joined by celebrated mechanic Greg Anagnostopoulos.

On this latest endeavour, Placek decided on a Porsche 993 Hardback style seats, sheathed in a luxurious dark green leather with contrasting lighter shade on the back. The intricate process spanned over 350 hours, sparing no details–each component was meticulously hand-wrapped to perfection.

The intricacy of hand-wrapping smaller components accounted for more than half the total time spent on this project altogether. Adding a bespoke touch to the all-leather interior, Arsham’s personal logo, printed on leather, adorns the headrests of the seats.

“For me, it was a specific pleasure as I own the same Carrera S,” commented Placek, sharing details of his design philosophy on social media. Upon its completion, the newly outfitted interior will be sent off for installation; the car will then make its way to The Bridge car show in the Hamptons for its grand debut this September following final touches by Arsham and Anagnostopoulos.
