Robb Report Singapore hosted a select group of business leaders at Sushisamba for an afternoon of vibrant culinary experiences and industry discussions

Step into Sushisamba, located at the 52nd floor of Capital Tower, and you’ll be greeted by a sign that reads, “Ready to Samba?”

While no dancing was to be had that afternoon, our guests—a select group of 12 business leaders and CEOs—spent a considerable amount of time thinking on their feet, sharing opinions and drinks while admiring the spectacular view of the city skyline. The leaders in the fields of finance, technology, health and travel discussed market trends, strategies and challenges faced by their respective industries while savouring a vibrant mix of Peruvian, Brazilian and Japanese flavours, courtesy of Sushisamba.

Guests were treated to a tantalising menu that included the Samba Seviche Platter, prepared with fresh sea bream, salmon and seabass; crispy taquitos made with pork, Peruvian peppers and Japanese shiso salt; and the Samba Singapore roll, a delectable combination of lobster, mango and avocado wrapped in a delicate soy paper drizzled with aji honey truffle.

More substantial fare came in the form of the Seafood Cazuela Rice, a hearty dish rich with scallops, shrimp and octopus; and anticuchos made from Angus beef and seabass, delicately prepared over a traditional Japanese charcoal grill and oven. Throughout the meal, an expert sommelier was on hand to guide the guests through a selection of wines.

As guests conversed over a dessert of Japanese doughnuts with black sesame ice cream, it was clear that the menu of bold and eclectic flavours had been the perfect accompaniment to the afternoon’s inspired exchange of ideas.
