TAG Heuer: LVMH Watch Week 2025

By Alvin Wong 22 January, 2025

From iconic rally-inspired creations to dynamic complications, TAG Heuer’s goes all-out on chronographs for its 2025 debutants

TAG Heuer is quick off the starting blocks this year with a bevy of chronographs to entice fans of the quintessential sports complication. Spanning new offerings from the iconic Formula One collection to the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, the brand’s most technically sophisticated rollout at LVMH Watch Week 2025, the brand promises a chronograph to suit every taste and occasion.

At the forefront of this stellar lineup are two purple-hued Carrera models—the Carrera Chronograph and the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon. Featuring rich, gradient grape-like dials, these watches are housed in the brand’s vintage-inspired ‘glassbox’ cases, first reintroduced in 2023. These cases, with their curved sapphire crystals and tachymeter scales, pay homage to the original Carrera designs of the 1960s.

While both models impress with their in-house movements and sophisticated mechanics, the 200-piece limited Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon edges ahead with its dual-complication, showcasing TAG Heuer’s technical prowess.

Another dynamic duo is the pair of Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches. Limited to 911 pieces in steel and 11 pieces in yellow gold, the timepieces commemorate TAG Heuer and Porsche’s shared motorsports legacy—in this instance, evoking memories of the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally.

Porsche debuted its now-legendary 911 model at that rally, while Heuer performed critical timekeeping duties with its high-precision dashboard instruments. Evoking the historic partnership, the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye’s dial is loaded with design tributes, such as colour schemes that reference Heuer Master Time / Monte Carlo stopwatches from 1965, and red lines on the tachymeter that represent the speed achieved by the 1965 Porsche 911 during the Monte Carlo Rally.

While on the topic of motorsports rallies, the hugely popular Formula One collection returns to TAG Heuer’s starting lineup. This year’s releases feature a plethora of colourful, titanium-clad models that are unabashedly assertive in their 44mm cases. Powered by the Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movements, they also offer robust and reliable performance. The standout piece has to be the Formula 1 Chronograph x Oracle Red Bull Racing edition, which comes sheathed in the racing team’s blue and red, with its logo proudly engraved on the caseback.

For those seeking a feminine touch, TAG Heuer elevates the Carrera Glassbox Chronograph with soft pastel hues and diamond embellishments. While these watches retain the 39mm retro-inspired cases of their counterparts, the beige and blue dials, as well as diamond-framed minute tracks and hour markers transform them into elegant wrist companions.

Whether you like them sparkly and precious, or unapologetically muscular and sporty, chronograph enthusiasts ought to make TAG Heuer their first port of call this year.
