Few cars can claim to blur the line between machine and masterpiece. Yet, Pagani’s Utopia Roadster does it effortlessly, and it’s now made its first appearance in Singapore

It’s not every day that a car like the Pagani Utopia Roadster graces Singapore’s shores. Unveiled at an exclusive event at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove on 27 February 2025, the latest creation from the Pagani Atelier made its Southeast Asian debut, where the shimmering waters off Sentosa’s marina seemed a fitting reflection of the hypercar’s own rare beauty.

“Here it is: the Utopia Roadster, the latest creation of our Atelier, the pinnacle of our ongoing research aimed at crafting objects combining the most sophisticated technology with timeless design,” says Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani. Photo by Pagani

Built in just 130 examples worldwide, the Utopia Roadster is Pagani’s latest ode to mechanical purity—a machine that values visceral driving pleasure as much as it does technological prowess. Its twin-turbo Pagani V12 (without so much as a whisper of hybrid interference) sings to the tune of 864bhp, while its lightweight Carbo-Titanium monocoque keeps it as agile as its hardtop sibling. What’s more, the Roadster weighs exactly the same as the Coupé at 1,280 kg, a rare engineering feat in the world of open-top hypercars.

Design-wise, the Utopia Roadster remains unapologetically Pagani—equal parts art and aerodynamics. Finished in Habanero Red exposed carbon fibre, the car’s colour shimmers from deep crimson to bright scarlet depending on how light catches on its curves. It’s the kind of car that commands attention without ever needing to shout (although, its exhaust really does sound sexy when it shouts).

Inside, the cabin is as much a display of artisanal craftsmanship as it is a cockpit. Grecale and Huayra Signature leathers wrap the seats, while anodised aluminium components shimmer like jewels. Even the exposed gear linkage, visible through the centre console, feels like a tribute to the golden age of motoring.

Performance? But of course; Pagani’s magic lies in making speed feel intimate. Whether with the hardtop in place or the soft-top stored neatly in its bespoke luggage compartments, the Utopia Roadster is as much about the sensation of the journey as it is about the destination.

For a brief moment on 2 March 2025, the Pagani Utopia Roadster will be on public display at Dempsey Hill, offering enthusiasts a fleeting glimpse of what many would consider automotive art. Then, just as quickly as it arrived, this road-going masterpiece will disappear—destined for the hands of the fortunate few who will write their own stories behind the wheel.
