Spotted: the wildly controversial Jaguar Type 00 concept car dons a new paint job and rolls up in style at Paris Fashion Week

Yes, you read that right. Any questions about whether the Jaguar Type 00 was real were dispelled by the dramatic arrival of celebrities like Barry Keoghan, Jamie Dornan, and Zoë Saldaña—all of whom were chauffeured through the streets of Paris in the now road-going Type 00 during Paris Fashion Week 2025. The concept car-turned-production model, which first stunned audiences at Miami Art Week late last year, has officially made its presence known—not in a showroom or on a static display, but as the go-to ride for A-listers at one of the world’s most glamorous events.

Few cars command this sort of attention quite like the Type 00–after all, the car itself does look like it was plucked straight out of the future. And this time, it was more than just a futuristic design exercise. Dressed in an all-new French Ultramarine colour—a bespoke hue developed by Jaguar’s in-house materiality team—the Type 00’s already striking form became even more dramatic under the Parisian city lights.

While the Type 00 first appeared as a bold reimagining of Jaguar’s future identity, this Parisian cameo confirms that it’s now a fully functional, road-going machine. Social media was ablaze with videos of the car effortlessly gliding through Paris—its low-slung silhouette, fearless proportions, and illuminated Jaguar badge creating an otherworldly presence on the streets.

This is only the beginning. As part of Jaguar’s ongoing transformation, Paris will soon host one of the brand’s new luxury retail spaces in the prestigious Golden Triangle of the 8th arrondissement—solidifying the city’s role in the next chapter of Jaguar’s history.

So, is the Type 00 still just a concept? If Paris Fashion Week was anything to go by, the answer is clear: it’s here, it’s real, and it’s already turning heads in all the right places.
