Silversea introduces the 132-day World Cruise for 2028

By Alvin Wong 27 March, 2025

The 132-day itinerary from Silversea covering five continents is luxury cruise travel at its most lavish and expansive

In a world where travel often feels rushed and routine, Silversea invites you to slow down with its 132-day 2028 World Cruise, An Ode to the Moment. This exceptional journey is not about seeing everything—it’s about truly taking your time and experiencing every destination.

Departing Miami on 5 January 2028 aboard the elegant Silver Shadow, the 132-day journey ends in Nice on 16 May. The cruise visits five continents, 29 countries and 58 destinations, including 17 overnight stays. There are over 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites along the way—and plenty of time to take it all in.

The voyage is divided into nine “chapters,” each with its own story. The Caribbean sets the tone with late-night ports in Gustavia and Willemstad. In Rio, guests get front-row seats to Carnival at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí. And for the adventurous, there’s even a detour to Rwanda to see silverback gorillas in the wild.

Food is a highlight, too. Silversea’s S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) programme offers hands-on culinary experiences—from Colombian coffee workshops to Argentinian barbecues paired with Malbec. It’s a delicious way to connect with each destination.

On board, Silver Shadow feels more like a private club than a cruise ship. Every guest stays in a suite with butler service, and the high space-to-guest ratio means plenty of room to breathe. It’s quiet luxury done right.

But what really sets this journey apart is time. An Ode to the Moment offers a rare opportunity to travel slowly, deeply, and meaningfully.
