Amanvari, the brand’s stunning new 18-key resort, is set to open in spring 2026
Well-heeled travellers who have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Aman’s latest expansion in the Americas and Caribbean need to hold on for just a little longer. Amanvari, the brand’s newest coastal retreat, is set to open in Baja California, Mexico during the second quarter of 2026.
Designed by Elastic Architects, with initial contribution from Heah & Co., Amanvari will introduce 18 accommodations and a collection of branded residences to the 1,500-acre, Costa Palmas premium master-planned community located on the East Cape. Boasting a unique proposition of three surrounding landscapes; desert, gulf, and sea, the resort will envelop guests in sweeping views of the Sea of Cortéz as well as the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. While the architecture here is expected to exude contemporary sophistication, rendered through clean lines, the resort’s interior spaces will combine white concrete, stone and tropical hardwoods in a sand-toned palette to reflect the natural terrain.
As always, guests can look forward to the full spectrum of Aman’s signature lifestyle and wellness-focused experience. The Aman Spa, for example, will feature a contemporary take on the traditional temazcal, a spiritual Mesoamerican ceremony that sees participants sit in a dome-shaped structure while water is poured over hot rocks to create a sauna-like environment within. Beyond this offering, the resort offers Aman’s signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion, and spaces designed to induce a leisurely repose. Elsewhere, the resort will house several dining venues, ranging from Italian and Japanese concepts to seasonal menus that showcase the produce of Baja.
Extending beyond the resort stay, Amanvari’s branded residences appear set to carry the same philosophies of privacy and integration with nature. Each villa is designed with private pools, expansive courtyards, and manicured landscaping that will accentuate the beauty of the resort’s natural surroundings. Owners will also benefit from the services of the Aman Private Office, which include 24/7 support, personalised adventure planning, and in-residence chefs and butlers.
Ardent fans of Aman, or ‘Amanjunkies’ as they’re better known, will need to be patient for a while longer before experiencing Amanvari. But good things, as they say, come to those who wait.
