The first-ever two-seater in Mercedes-Maybach history arrives as the brand’s sportiest model yet: an SL 680 reimagined with curated Red and White Ambience concepts, a PixelPaint bonnet, and a 585 hp biturbo V8 for an unmistakably Maybach open-top luxury
Mercedes-Benz Singapore has unveiled the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, a landmark first for the marque and its most dynamic Maybach to date. It takes the iconic SL silhouette and layers on the hallmarks of Maybach craftsmanship: exquisite materials, elevated comfort and a sensual, holistic approach to design. The result is an open-air two-seater that marries athletic proportion with an aura of grandeur.

Two curated design concepts set the tone. “White Ambience” pairs obsidian black metallic above with Manufaktur opalite white magno below, while “Red Ambience” contrasts obsidian black metallic with a new Manufaktur garnet red metallic, a tinted clearcoat developed for this two-seater to achieve depth and vibrancy. Inside, crystal-white, sustainably tanned Manufaktur Exclusive Nappa leather in a new floral pattern flows across seats, door panels, the centre console and the rear shelf, creating lightness, space and the signature Maybach cocooning effect. Silver-chrome galvanised elements add a glamorous counterpoint.

The exterior telegraphs both pedigree and performance. A brand-specific chrome-finished radiator grille debuts with an A-shaped contour and illumination for the grille and Maybach lettering, while a rose-gold headlamp accent, upright Mercedes star and chrome longitudinal fin crown a dedicated bonnet. At the rear, Maybach-logo taillights, a chrome-trimmed apron and a bespoke diffuser complete the look; behind the seats, an aerodynamically shaped double scoop underlines its unique stance. The acoustic-comfort soft top carries a discreet Maybach pattern, and 21-inch forged wheels (five-hole or multi-spoke) frame the profile.
Bespoke extends to the bonnet itself: an optional integrated Maybach monogram rendered via the innovative PixelPaint process. Think inkjet-like precision with more than 1,000 individually controlled nozzles applying microscopic paint droplets (20–50 microns) before multiple hand-sanded clear coats create notable depth—all with reduced masking and waste.

Under the skin, the SL 680 Monogram Series balances serenity and agility. A 4.0-litre biturbo V8 (430 kW/585 hp, 800 Nm) pairs with a 9G-TRONIC automatic, fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and an electronically controlled rear differential. Expect 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a 260 km/h top speed. Semi-active hydraulic roll stabilisation, softer steel springs, revised elastokinematics and rear-axle steering bolster both ride plushness and precision, with Pirelli P Zero tyres rounding out the setup. Extensive insulation—including innovative muffler inlays of recyclable fibreglass textile—keeps the soundtrack sonorously restrained.
For Singapore, a market that prizes individuality and exclusivity, the first Maybach two-seater arrives as a dynamic, open-air expression of modern luxury, tailored for the most discerning clients.
