In the heart of the Golden Triangle, Fraser Suites Le Claridge Champs-Elysées offers suites designed to offer guests the Parisian dream
Something about its façade screams Parisian; perhaps it’s the quiet elegance of Haussmann lines, softened by time, or the way wrought-iron balconies frame tall windows and catch the light, giving the building a certain je ne sais quoi intrinsic to Paris.
But as the doors click shut behind you, the roar of the Champs-Élysées—that relentless river of fashion and motion—simply evaporates. You are no longer a spectator of the city, but its protagonist. And that is precisely how Fraser Suites Le Claridge Champs-Elysées positions your stay: not as a visitor, but as the main character of your holiday.

Acquired by Frasers Hospitality in 2006, Le Claridge is a 1914 monument that has breathed the same air as legends who once lived within its walls. One can almost smell the faint, ghostly sillage of Marlene Dietrich’s perfume in the lobby, or hear the low, gravelly hum of Ray Charles echoing through the courtyard. As a devotee of Ella Fitzgerald, knowing she, too, once moved through these same corridors lent a certain lyrical grace to my stay.
There is a weight to the air here—a sophisticated gravity that comes from over a century of hosting the world’s most interesting people.
Yet the building’s history is only part of the story. While most luxury outposts in the Golden Triangle feel like stage sets, Fraser Suites Le Claridge feels like a residence.
My Deluxe Suite was less a hotel room and more a chic Parisian apartment. Square-in-square patterned flooring complemented the two-toned blue and beige walls, exuding the same je ne sais quoi as the façade. Leaning against the cool wrought iron of the balcony, I looked down on the interior patio, neighbours doing the same—a scene straight from a film.

What completes the illusion of living—rather than merely staying—here is the freedom built into every detail. Each suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a quiet luxury often overlooked. Mornings can begin unhurried, coffee brewed to your own strength, breakfast taken in slippers with Paris unfolding just beyond the windows. Later, you might improvise a casual lunch or a candlelit dîner tête-à-tête, savouring the intimacy of your own space in a city that rarely pauses.

Of course, Paris rarely lets you stay in. Should curiosity strike—and it always does—the concierge steps in with near-cinematic efficiency. A table at the latest gastronomic darling, the new address of a fashionable chef, or tickets to the most talked-about exhibition of the moment appear almost instantly. It helps that Le Claridge sits at the heart of a remarkable culinary constellation: this arrondissement boasts the highest concentration of Michelin stars per square meter in the world. Temptation, here, is quite literally at your doorstep.
The residence itself houses 135 suites, ranging from an intimate 30 square meters to expansive 170-square-meter apartments, all entirely refurbished in a contemporary design that feels decidedly haute couture—tailored, elegant, and precise. Every suite offers a view worth lingering over: Parisian monuments and the kinetic beauty of the Champs-Élysées on one side, or the serene calm of Le Claridge’s inner patio on the other. My Deluxe Suite, facing the courtyard, felt quietly removed from the city’s pulse, while the Executive Suites, overlooking the avenue, place you directly in its cinematic sweep.

Thoughtfulness extends to the practicalities. Suites are equipped with generous storage, a proper desk, high-speed Wi-Fi, and bathrooms stocked with L’Occitane products—small indulgences that quickly become necessities.
Companions with four legs are welcome, reinforcing the sense that this is less a hotel than a gracious Parisian address—one that invites you to settle in, unpack fully, and for a moment, live as though the Champs-Élysées were simply your neighbourhood.
