Soon to open this year in Midway, Utah, the retreat aims to offer a blend of culinary excellence and a transformative wellness experience
Utah, a state that surrounds you with boundless natural beauty and unmatched proximity to skiing, is equally a leading destination for luxury wellness retreats. And soon to open this year is Ameyalli Park City by Appellation, a sanctuary spearheaded by Appellation Hotels, a culinary-first hotel brand by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer and hospitality veteran Christopher Hunsberger.
Centred around a natural geothermal spring in Midway, Utah, with Deer Valley Ski Resort just 10 minutes away, the 80-key hotel aims to offer a neat blend of culinary excellence and a transformative wellness experience, all with uninterrupted views of the Wasatch Mountains and the luxury of 28 natural hot springs.
Key features include a Charlie Palmer restaurant and bar, state-of-the-art Wellbeing Centre that comes with a spa, pool and farm-to-table restaurant, as well as the Ameyalli Centre of Excellence, built in partnership with wellness guru Deepak Chopra. Guests may enjoy a diverse range of activities and programmes aligned with Dr Chopra’s Seven Pillars of Wellbeing, as well as regular culinary demonstrations and hands-on classes with community artisans.
Conceived by Overland Partners, a human-centred architecture and urban design firm from Texas, the resort will be built around a preserved granite dome, where generations of local dwellers and visitors have journeyed to connect with the land’s healing properties and views. Design components will be drawn from the geology of the site, providing an unmistakable sense of place and unity with its surroundings.
