The Beolab 90 Monarch Edition arrives as an homage to B&O’s midcentury origins, while the Zenith Edition brings on the theatrics
No good home is complete without a good pair of speakers. Bang & Olufsen’s flagship Beolab 90 speakers, a mighty set that sits at the top of an impressive portfolio, will sit just as well on your home’s marble floors.
Above the regular edition, these are also offered through B&O’s Atelier customisation programme. For those looking for the best of the best, the Atelier centenary series present a collection of five editions that explore craft, design and materials in unprecedented depth.
Already out on the market are the Beolab 90 Titan Edition, the Shadow and Mirage Editions of the ‘90s and even a speaker created in collaboration with Berluti. To complete the set, B&O has launched the final two in the series: the Beolab 90 Monarch Edition and Beolab 90 Zenith Edition.

The Beolab 90 Monarch Edition, perhaps one of B&O’s most exquisite creations, arrives as an homage to its midcentury influences and origins. Built with the help of a long-standing Danish supplier of wood, there are rosewood lamellas that are hand-carved and angled to go along with the twists and turns of the speaker cabinet, and aluminium components treated with an ochre-coloured finish to complement the natural wood.
The Zenith Edition, on the other hand, stands out as the most theatrical. Its six triangular panels each contain at least 289 anodised aluminium spheres in seven various finishes, resulting in a shimmering myriad of surfaces that are further enhanced with a pearl-blasted aluminium fascia and mother-of-pearl inlays.
