Treat Dad to more than the usual this Father’s Day

By Weixian Low 5 June, 2026

From indulgent dining affairs to memorable experiences, these Father’s Day specials offer thoughtful ways to celebrate the man who rarely asks for much

Father’s Day can be a tricky occasion to plan for, especially when the man in question insists he does not need anything. A new tie feels too predictable, another bottle of something fine may already have company on the shelf, and socks—however luxurious—can only say so much. This year, perhaps the better answer lies in time well spent. Whether he prefers a proper feast, a hands-on experience, or an afternoon that gives him an excuse to sit back and be celebrated, these Father’s Day dining and lifestyle offerings make a compelling case for giving Dad something he will actually remember.

Goodwood Park Hotel

For the dad who considers durian a love language, The Deli at Goodwood Park Hotel has a fittingly regal tribute. Available for Father’s Day, the D24 Thorny King is a 1kg whole cake shaped to resemble the King of Fruits itself, complete with painstakingly hand-piped pandan mousse “spikes” made with freshly blended pandan leaves.

Beneath its theatrical exterior, the cake layers fragrant pandan sponge with durian mousse, Chantilly cream, and a smooth pandan mousse coating, while its moulded durian “seeds” are filled with a fibrous durian mousse that mimics the texture of the real fruit. It is, in other words, a centrepiece with both humour and heft—best reserved for families who know Dad will happily choose durian over another bottle of whisky.

The D24 Thorny King is priced at S$108 nett for takeaway and delivery, or S$99.10++ for dine-in. It is available for online pre-order or walk-in purchase at The Deli.

Butcher’s Block at Raffles Hotel

For the dad who likes his celebrations with smoke, fire, and a well-made drink, Butcher’s Block at Raffles Hotel Singapore is keeping things simple but thoughtful. On 20 June, fathers dining at the restaurant will receive a complimentary cocktail or mocktail as a celebratory toast.

It is a neat addition to the restaurant’s usual à la carte and IMUA set menus, both centred around Butcher’s Block’s signature woodfire-led cooking. Expect the sort of meal that feels suitably occasion-worthy without being overly ceremonial: quality produce, bold flavours, and the unmistakable comfort of food cooked over flame. For fathers who prefer a proper meal over grand gestures, this should do the trick nicely. Book a table here.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is bringing back its Dine and Drive experience with Porsche Singapore. Available exclusively over Father’s Day weekend on 20 and 21 June, the experience pairs afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge with a 30-minute test drive in either the Porsche 911 or the all-electric Taycan.

The afternoon tea menu takes a playful cue from both brands, with savouries such as crispy Beef Medley balls and Bavarian Bites made with Camembert and cream cheese. On the sweeter side, look out for the Fruity Nutty, shaped like a Porsche crest, and the Golden Fan chocolate sablé, finished with Mandarin Oriental’s signature fan motif. Guests will also receive a Porsche key ring to take home.

The special afternoon tea menu will be available throughout June, but the Porsche test drive experience is only offered on 20 and 21 June.

Available from 1 May to 30 June, the package includes a 75-minute Elemis Wellbeing massage, followed by a 30-minute neck and shoulder massage designed to ease built-up tension.
