Composed of 10 new Eaux de Parfum, the Bottega Veneta Alta collection marks the second chapter of the maison’s modern, in-house fragrance era, following its late-2024 luxury relaunch
While the fashion house originally entered the perfume world over a decade ago, it initiated a clean slate under Kering Beauté in 2024. Following the initial reboot under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy, Alta heralds the second chapter in the brand’s olfactory narrative, featuring 10 portraits that bridge traditional Italian ingredients with raw materials from around the world.
An homage to the house’s signature woven leather craftsmanship and Italian roots, the heart of the collection is the concept of the “Intrecciato duo,” which pairs one ingredient intrinsic to Italy with another sourced from a different country. The goal is to “express a cross-cultural exchange through scent,” the brand notes. Unlike the inaugural release, which was anchored in Venetian heritage, Alta broadens its perspective, reimagining Italy as a whole in dialogue with the world.
One can expect a play between lightness and richness, where vibrant citrus notes and the freshness of woods and resins are layered with warmth and unexpected accords such as stracciatella—evoking milky vanilla and chocolate nuances—to expand the notion of what “Italian” can smell like.
The notes
The brand’s celebrated craftsmanship is further reflected in the sculptural recycled-glass bottles, whose form echoes the intricate pattern of the Intrecciato leather weave. Topped with a wooden cap and a gold-finished ring, they pay homage to Venetian architecture and fine jewellery craftsmanship while maintaining visual continuity with the house’s earlier collections.
Launching across Bottega Veneta boutiques and leading department stores worldwide, and accompanied by a series of bespoke woven leather accessories, the Alta collection is offered in 50 and 100ml formats and marks the house’s most expansive fragrance release to date.
