Photographed by Drew Vickers and led by recently appointed creative director Louis Trotter, Il Mio celebrates the relationship between a treasured object and the person who has chosen it
Taking its moniker from the Italian expression meaning “what belongs to me,” Il Mio presents Bottega Veneta bags as more than mere accessories; they evolve into companions throughout life—collected, cherished, and preserved for posterity.
In this series, five Intrecciato designs take centre stage: the Mini Andiamo, Lauren 1980, Madison, and two new summer launches–Baby Campana and Baby Barbara. Each piece embodies the maison’s dedication to craftsmanship, evolving alongside the wearer’s individuality and daily life.
Originally presented in the late 1970s, the Lauren clutch gained iconic status after being carried by Lauren Hutton’s character Michelle Stratton in the 1980 film, American Gigolo.
