Hermès Beauty launches two lip care essentials that keep your puckers looking healthy and hydrated all day
Often neglected, lip care is just as important as skincare; after all, dry, dehydrated lips aren’t exactly a cute look. Hermès Beauty shares the same sentiment, introducing a duo of lip care essentials designed to “amplify the natural beauty of lips”: The Complete Lip Care Balm and Nourishing Lip Mask.
At the heart of the new launch is a simple idea: beautiful lips begin with proper care. For Gregoris Pyrpylis, creative director of Hermès Beauty, that means creating formulas that enhance rather than disguise, allowing the lips’ natural radiance to shine through.
The Complete Lip Care Balm is the kind of everyday essential you’ll want within arm’s reach. Colourless and invisible on the lips, the balm delivers a moisturising film with a subtle semi-matte finish, leaving the lips soft, smooth, and naturally radiant without feeling heavy. Its lightweight texture creates a delicate second-skin effect, making it equally suited to wearing alone or underneath lipstick.
The formula takes lip care seriously, too. Shea butter, plant-based waxes and castor oil nourish and protect, while ceramides help reinforce the lips’ moisture barrier. White mulberry and a hyaluronic acid complex boost comfort and hydration, while sesame seed extract leaves behind a smoother finish.
Then there’s the Nourishing Lip Mask, the balm’s richer, more indulgent counterpart. Housed in a petite frosted-glass jar, the mask has a naturally warm orange hue thanks to astaxanthin, an antioxidant that helps protect against free radicals. But don’t expect orange lips: once applied, the formula melts into a sheer, colourless veil with a glossy finish.
Think of it as a little luxury for your puckers. The rich, enveloping texture combines shea butter with plant-based oils and waxes, including castor, macadamia, jojoba and sweet almond, for an intense dose of nourishment. A hyaluronic acid complex and sesame seed extract help hydrate and smooth, while ceramides support the moisture barrier and astaxanthin provides antioxidant protection.
And while the mask is perfectly suited to a nighttime ritual—apply it in the evening and let it work its magic while you sleep—it can also be worn during the day whenever your lips need an extra hit of nourishment.
