The clean-boy edit: Rings

By Amos Chin 15 September, 2026

No loud logos or branding—just understated rings that embody the clean-boy aesthetic

The clean-boy aesthetic is less a strict dress code than an exercise in restraint: neutral palettes, precise proportions, immaculate grooming, and a wardrobe stripped of unnecessary noise. Naturally, the jewellery follows suit. Forget overt branding and statement pieces; the mood is subtle, considered, and quietly polished.

Ahead, the rings that capture the clean-boy sensibility.

Spinelli Kilcollin – The Acacia

Perpetually on fashion TikTok, I’ve been sold on Spinelli Kilcollin. Not quite a heritage name, the Los Angeles-founded fine jewellery house has nonetheless become a familiar fixture in the luxury accessories space, largely thanks to its distinctive interconnected ring designs.

Of the various iterations, which are fully customisable, the Acacia checks the boxes for this story. Three bands of equal gauge support two orbiting annulets, giving the ring a sculptural quality without making too much of a statement. In .925 sterling silver, it’s understated enough for everyday wear and neutral enough to pair with other rings.

Tiffany & Co. – Tiffany T Wire Ring

The Tiffany T ring is a little more graphic than the other pieces in this edit, but still fits the clean-boy brief. Inspired by an archival bracelet from 1975, it nods to the house’s iconic T motif, which founder Charles Lewis Tiffany regarded as a symbol of “promise and possibilities”, according to the brand. Here, the logo is integrated into the design rather than placed front and centre, making it more of an if-you-know-you-know kind of style. In 18k white gold, it can sit neatly alongside other rings or be worn on its own if subtlety is key for your outfit of the day.

Cartier Juste un Clou Ring

Undoubtedly the ultimate clean-boy essential, the Juste un Clou ring is omnipresent. Almost every clean-boy creator seems to own one—or ten. I’m exaggerating.

Available in yellow and rose gold as well, the ring is straightforward in design, yet somehow exudes a certain je ne sais quoi. There’s something about its simplicity that makes it feel less like a piece of jewellery and more like a finishing touch.

Designed for Cartier New York in the 1970s, the Juste un Clou transforms the humble nail into an icon, using clean lines, precise proportions, and just enough detail to make it unmistakably Cartier.

Justine Clenquet Azel Ring

Away from the ultra-luxury maisons, Justine Clenquet is a genderless accessory label influenced by ’70s glam rock, punk subcultures, art and cinema. The France-based label has carved out a niche with its sharp mix of masculinity and femininity and grunge-inspired aesthetic, with pieces handmade in France.

Among its more extravagant designs is a series of rings inspired by the barbells used in piercings. The Azel Ring caught my eye for its playful take on the motif.

A silver-tone open-band ring, it features a short, straight barbell in the middle. When worn, it almost looks as though you’ve pierced your finger—but not quite. There’s something appealing about the tension between the simplicity of the ring and the slightly unexpected idea behind it: a little bit of edge without straying too far from the clean-boy brief.
