Just a stone’s throw away from Hyde Park Corner, this architectural unicorn by Zaha Hadid is for sale for £11.95m
To unexpectedly pass away at 65 may seem a life too short, too soon, but Dame Zaha Hadid‘s life was an extraordinary one. Breaking glass ceilings to make way for success, she was the first woman and Iraqi to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the sole female recipient of the RIBA Royal Gold Medal.
It’s been 10 years since her passing, and for the first time ever, the rare chance to own a Zaha Hadid-designed private home has come to light. Nestled within Belgravia’s exclusive Grosvenor Crescent Mews in the heart of London, this house is one of the only two private homes constructed by her studio, with the second located near Moscow.

Now on the market for £11.95m, this architectural unicorn is just a stone’s throw away from Hyde Park Corner. Built over three years from 2014, the house is mostly tucked away from the public eye (save for six metres), presenting a back-lit brickwork lattice and patterned glass for a facade.
Beyond that is a reflection of the firm’s dedication to Parametricism. Hadid’s unique style is translated to some 370 square metres of living space, defined by four distinct floor plans, a double-height glass-roofed atrium, glazed stair tower and polished concrete staircase that winds throughout the house. Other notable features include a sculptural, geologically formed polished stone counter that hangs from the kitchen wall, and a primary bedroom that’s designed with curved glass and direct access to its own private terrace.
