Sole red
There probably isn’t a better time for Christian Louboutin’s grand opening at Scotts Square than the day before Valentine’s Day, considering the brand’s signature red soles have countless women lusting over them, and well, we are in the mood for love.
The second boutique to be opened in our city (the other is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, while the Ngee Ann City store has shifted to this current location), it depicts a playful ‘forest in a city’ theme. The collections sit on brass toadstools and sand-papered tree trunks, suspend in a gold bird cage, and put the glitz as they’re displayed on forested textured walls with ‘tree bark’.
Both the latest Spring Summer 2017 collection, inspired by the carnival spirit of Brazil, and the classic collections are available in store, the latter being showcased in individual pigeon holes on its wall of fame.
And, in the name of love, a pop-up store set up shop on the 13th and 14th of February, presenting fresh bouquets to each walk-in customer. The colour of the flowers? Red, of course.
