Those embarking on overnight rail journeys will get well acquainted with British wellness brand Bamford and its signature treatments. Forget the usual dimly-lit, window-less rooms that lull you into deep slumber. Both single-beded rooms in the Bamford Haybarn Spa promise breathtaking views of Scottish mountains and countrysides.
Whether it’s to distress, kill time, relax, or simply prep yourself for the next leg of your journey, the spa adds yet another dimension to the trains offerings which currently include a dining room and an observation car. Treatments include a Deep Dissue Massage, De-Stress Massage and 55-minute Bamford Bespoke Facial that comprises a facial reflexology, and a deep disuse massage using hot stones to release tension. Manicures and pedicures are also available for those who wish to get their nails polished.
Each cabin also will also carry a range of amenities from Bamford’s Geranium, Lavender and Peppermint Botanical collections, evoking the fresh mountainside air.
The Belmond Royal Scotsman offers journeys between to and seven nights, with the Bamford Haybarn Spa beginning operations on 17 April.
