Introducing the Zenith x Bamford Chronomaster El Primero Radar
Why you should care: The Bamford Watch Department made its name customising watches to the consternation of some brands, but Zenith saw opportunity in this model and started to work collaboratively with them. Following the success of the Chronomaster El Primero Solar Blue, we now have the Chronomaster El Primero Radar. Inspired by a 1916 pocket watch founder George Bamford chanced upon at the Zenith manufacture – it had striking red accents all over the dial – the Radar is simply the Chronomaster El Primero with a retro-futuristic twist. The stainless steel case, crown and pushers are given the matte treatment. The dial, fashioned in a burnt brown gradient, features a bright red subdial at three o’clock that glows in the dark. Six o’clock sees a fully silver subdial ring with a red-tipped hand, while at nine, a subdial ring is formed by a series of silver grooves. The watch also features a Cordura-patterned rubber strap with red double stitching running up each side.
Limited to 50 pieces and only available from November at all Zenith boutiques.
