The Colour of Creativity

For more than 20 years, the acclaimed Miaja Design Group has been impressing guests in some of the world’s most luxurious hotels with its outstanding interiors. The X factor is the focus on unique artworks, many of which are sourced locally.

Franco-Spanish managing and creative director Isabelle Miaja’s love of art has extended the Singapore-based company’s reach to create an art consultancy that can draw on its vast network of international artists to provide works for individual and corporate clients.

Fitting seamlessly into the mix is Miaja Gallery, which is exhibiting Vandalise This, focusing on two artists known for their bold use of colour. Mauritian Gael Froget’s works are part primitive, part pop art, while Paris-based Yoshi Itu from Japan uses himself as a canvas; taking clothes such as a classic suit or morning coat, he goes to work adding shapes and colours. The exhibition runs until 29 April.
