You can always count on mum to come through for you, just as you can always count on Lawry’s The Prime Rib for a good meal. This Mother’s Day, Singapore’s most trusted name in steaks has prepared a special six-course set menu (S$139) for the most dependable superwoman in your life.
Start with a refreshing Seafood Ceviche of prawns and smoked salmon with seasonal vegetables followed by a hearty Butternut Squash Pumpkin Soup topped with crushed walnuts and brioche croutons for a bit of crunch.
That should be enough to whet the appetite, but an appetiser follows anyway—an indulgent one of Pan-Seared Goose Foie Gras and Hokkaido Scallop in red wine raisin sauce.
Then, it’s a Lime Sorbet as a palate cleanser in preparation for the highlight of the meal—Lawry’s Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef, which is carved at the table for a little theatrical flair. It’s accompanied by four sides—three staples, the US Idaho mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and whipped creamed horseradish, and a fourth that offers a choice between creamed corn, creamed spinach, or buttered peas.
For those who prefer a non-steak option, there’s the Perfect Baked Cod Fish with US Idaho mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms, seasonal vegetables, and a peppercorn soy sauce.
Choose your perfect ending with either the Strawberry Lemon Sweetheart or the Berry Chocolate Indulgence. The first is a strawberry chocolate mousse with a strawberry purée, lemon curd, and vanilla sponge cake, while the latter has a chocolate sponge paired with chocolate mousse, toffee mousse, and raspberry compote.
