Celebrating the Chinese New Year in style, Acne Studios launches a Year of the Horse collection nodding at the 2000s fashion
Open TikTok or Instagram and you’ll be inundated with OOTDs inspired by 2000s fashion—proof that Y2K continues to shape today’s street style. At the atelier of Acne Studios, the influence is evident. Case in point: its latest Chinese New Year collection, celebrating the Year of the Horse.
Here, the collection integrates a bold, playful mix of futurism and early-internet nostalgia into the maison’s signature pieces in a new colour palette and graphics.

A jersey T-shirt is reimagined with a vibrant pink furry textured 1996 logo, while the iconic mohair Vally scarf in a bold pink and hues of lilac, punctuates the collection, evoking the festive mood in heart-shaped embroidery and fringed ends.

Our top pick, the trompe-l’oeil denim boasts a relaxed silhouette with gold keychains and heart key charms, a key feature of the Y2K fashion. A matching tote bag continues the trompe-l’oeil narrative.

Topping off the offering, the IT bag of 2025–the Camero Party bag–arrives in purple-pink dip-dye with a sprayed effect logo that marries retro contours with functionality. Signature key charm and a special edition heart charm complete the accessory with a playful pizzazz.
