Date Night: Art di Daniele Sperindio opens Bar Eduardo, a three-month-long pop-up with a love of storytelling

Open to the public until mid-November, the pop-up will be generous with hospitality and panoramic views of the city

Art di Daniele Sperindio recently added a new bar to the family, but not for long. Located right by the Italian rooftop restaurant at the National Gallery, Bar Eduardo is a three-month-long pop-up led by celebrated bartender Eduardo Zamora. Open to the public until mid-November, the pop-up will be generous with hospitality and panoramic views of the city. That includes the Singapore Grand Prix, if you are into that.

Zamora, who is new to the team at Art di Daniele Sperindio, has long been dedicated to the art of the drink. Previously from places like The Venetian Macau Hotel and other award-winning establishments in Singapore, he enjoys telling stories through his cocktails. And in the case of Bar Eduardo, his drinks narrate life stories of Italian migrants inspired by iconic Italian-themed films.

The inaugural menu draws from Green Book, a film that recounts the journey of Don Shirley, a world-class African-American pianist, and driver/protector Tony Lip, a bouncer from an Italian-American neighbourhood in the Bronx. As different as they are, the two forge an unexpected bond in a time of racism and peril. Expect classic Italian cocktails like the Aperol Spritz, Garibaldi and Negroni, as well as more inventive ones, such as Maintain Your Dignity (pandan soju, sweet vermouth, Campari and saline) and Artist In The Bronx (strawberry Aperol, vodka, limoncello and fluffy orange juice).
