The all-new Electric T Line, Brompton’s lightest-ever folding e-bike

By Robb Report Singapore 30 January, 2026

Built around Brompton’s e-Motiq system, the bike offers 90km of range and plenty of personalised support

Brompton, the British king of handmade folding bicycles, just launched its lightest-ever folding e-bike.

Better known as the all-new Electric T Line, the e-bike, at 13.5 kilograms, weighs almost as light as the average bike, compared with most other electric models. With an all-titanium frame that keeps things light and at the same time, robust, and not to mention, the ability to fold in under 20 seconds, it’s the perfect motorised mode of transportation for daily city commute.

Built around the brand’s proprietary e-Motiq system, the ride is equipped with a combination of a rear hub motor, detachable battery and torque sensors, providing 90km of range and a personalised, reactive pedalling support. It learns your riding patterns over the first 100 kilometres, and refines its predictions about how far you can ride and how much power you will need. But while you can go further without breaking much of a sweat, the physical ride experience is retained.

Other useful features include a Start Assist Mode that gives you a quick boost while you tackle a steep incline; a Walk Assist Mode to help you push it along as you walk; and an intelligent handlebar control, which displays real-time ride data and connects to the Brompton Electric App to track range and personalise assistance levels.

The Brompton Electric T Line is currently available in the UK at a starting price of £5,799. Featured photo by Brompton
