Cupra fans, rejoice: The Cupra Born and Cupra Tavascan have landed in Singapore

By Weixian Low 17 March, 2025

Cupra has arrived, and it’s here to make a statement; the Spanish performance brand is bringing its rebellious spirit to Singapore

Barely one quarter into the new year, and Singapore’s automotive scene just got a whole lot more exciting. Cupra, the Spanish brand that’s all about performance and electrification (with a healthy dose of rebellion) has officially arrived with the opening of Cupra Centre Singapore at 247 Alexandra Road. This marks the marque’s first dedicated showroom in Asia, giving local fans and prospective owners a space to experience the brand up close. And the best part: that was just the beginning.

Beyond the showroom, CUPRA Singapore has ambitious plans to bring the brand to life through exclusive events, driving experiences, and interactive showcases. And hot on the heels of the showroom launch, Cupra has introduced its first two models for Singapore—the all-electric Cupra Born and the striking Cupra Tavascan.

The Cupra Born is the brand’s first fully electric hot hatch, designed for those who believe that electrification should still come with a side of adrenaline. Available in two variants, the platform’s e-Boost delivers 231 PS with range of up to 428 km, while the Born VZ pushes things further with 326 PS, 545 Nm of torque, and an extended range of 599 km. Performance-tuned progressive steering, larger brakes, and 20-inch alloy wheels make the Born feel more like a driver’s machine than your typical EV commuter. And if that’s not enough, the VZ variant brings an upgraded Sennheiser 10-speaker sound system—because good music and great drives go hand in hand.

If the Born is about agility, the Tavascan is about presence. Being the marque’s first all-electric SUV coupe, the Tavascan is dramatic and expressive with aggressive styling, sleek aerodynamics and a futuristic cabin dominated by a 15-inch infotainment display (the largest ever in a Cupra, no less).

Powered by a 286 PS rear-mounted motor, the Tavascan Endurance trim delivers a WLTP range of up to 568 km. Craving more? The Tavascan VZ ups the ante with dual-motor all-wheel drive, 340 PS, and a 521 km range, all with maximum traction and precision-tuned chassis control.

On the inside, driver and passengers are cocooned in sustainable materials, ambient lighting, and a Sennheiser 12-speaker high-fidelity audio system that promises crystal-clear audio notes.

Both the Cupra Born and Tavascan are now available for orders and test drives at Cupra Centre Singapore, with price tags starting at S$195,500 and S$209,900 respectively. Come 17 March, fans can catch these two models at Cupra’s first-ever roadshow at VivoCity.
