An easy drive from Ha Long, the Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort is Vietnam’s latest destination for hot springs

Tucked away in the Quang Hanh valley of Cam Pha, Vietnam, is the brand-new Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort. A gateway to the destination’s natural hot springs, the property will be the brand’s third entry into Vietnam, and its first Southeast Asian resort dedicated to the onsen experience.

Just a 30-minute drive from Ha Long and two and a half hours’ from Hanoi, the resort features 178 villas and 38 rooms and suites, each with its own onsen and access to hot and cold saunas. Those wanting to splurge can book one of two 1,250-sqm Presidential Villas, where there are five bedrooms, a karaoke room, private teppanyaki facilities and a wine cellar. Think of your getaway as “Japan light”, but in no way less luxurious.

Guests can also take the soaking outdoors in one of the hotel’s 27 onsen baths and 18 baths, sweat it out in the sauna, and relax in the indoor pool overlooking the lush mountains. The resort, staying true to its Japanese theme, offers guests sushi, teppanyaki and kaiseki through the 210-seat Genji. Though there will also be the all-day Kitchen Craft, soon to open and satiate any hankering for Western and various Asian dishes.
