Jewellery watches for daily wear

Glittery jewellery watches that take you from the office to the cocktail hour

Just because you desire a daily beater doesn’t mean you ought to tone down on the glamour. We, too, are advocates of occasion-appropriate styles—and there are a selection of jewellery watches out there that can add to your get-up with just the right amount of glitter without overpowering your outfit. Here are some subtly sparkly options to check out.

Hermès Arceau Petite Lune ciel étoile

Deceptively unassuming, the Hermès Arceau Petite Lune ciel étoile reveals its multifaceted charms as you get slowly acquainted with the watch. The iconic Arceau steel case, which features a round frame adorned with 70 drop-set diamonds, is set against lugs inspired by the shape of stirrups. The mother-of-pearl dial, too, is a thing of beauty. The gradated shades of midnight blue are accentuated with seven diamonds to evoke the night sky, while a moon phase display at a corner—powered by Hermés’ in-house automatic movement—tracks the passage of the celestial orb.

Cartier Reflection de Cartier

A furtive bracelet watch, the Reflection de Cartier makes no apologies for its putting accessorising the top of its priorities. Time-telling, courtesy of a partially hidden dial at the end of the bracelet, seems secondary. Rather, the bracelet’s cuff-like profile, embellished with striking grooves to accentuate its sculptural lines, takes command and hugs the wrist with statement-making presence. The watch comes in a slew of options spanning rose and yellow gold models, to decidedly dazzling versions in white gold set with diamonds and other precious stones.

TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant Garde

Hold your thoughts on lab-grown diamonds. TAG Heuer, a company that prides itself on pushing the boundaries of watchmaking innovation, has in recent years ventured into the field of lab-grown diamonds with surprising results. The brand has found success in growing and harnessing the stones in different textures, shapes, and surfaces—all of which are proudly brandished on the Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant Garde. The 36mm white gold case houses a polycrystalline dial, which is set with baguette-cut, lab-grown diamonds on the hour markers. Poised at 12 o’clock is a yellow lab-grown diamond, cut in TAG Heure’s signature shield shape.

Chopard Happy Sport

You cannot go wrong with the Chopard Happy Sport. A symbol of fun, reality, and vivacity since its debut in 1993, the watch’s most striking feature—mobile diamonds that slide across the dial at the flick of the wrist—remains its biggest draw. This year, Chopard introduces two new limited editions, each capped at 250 pieces. Both versions come 33mm Lucent Steel cases (the brand’s proprietary sustainable steel alloy that comprises recycled steel) with diamond-set bezels, and are available with a choice of pink or blue markers and alligator straps. The colours are echoed on the mobile precious stones comprising three diamonds and two tourmalines (or aquamarines, depending on the version).
