The Tecnomar 101FT for Lamborghini blends high-octane performance with sportive elegance

There is a well-worn assumption that the worlds of luxury automobiles and yachting are natural companions. After all, both appeal to a clientele for whom craft, customisation, and performance are non-negotiables. The truth, as is often the case, is a little more nuanced.

That said, there are moments, when dabbling in the world of luxury, where dwelling on nuance becomes far less compelling than simply embracing the gesture. Case in point: The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT. Recently unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, the 30m vessel is the latest collaboration between Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group. At a glance, the yacht sports all the hallmarks of the marque’s design language, from the angular exterior lines to the distinctive Fenomeno front and rear lights. Add in the launch livery, a vibrant yellow with subtle shades of green, and you have a vessel that exudes high-octane, sportive elegance.

This, of course, isn’t the first time the House of Sant’Agata Bolognese has collaborated with The Italian Sea Group. The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a 20-metre motor yacht unveiled in 2020 that boasts a maximum speed of 63 knots, marked their first foray together. While that vessel offered a distinctive sense of raw power, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT, with its larger silhouette and generous interior volumes, introduces an added layer of gravitas and opulence.

The translation of Lamborghini’s design codes extends to its interior spaces. The helm station, for example, takes inspiration from the marque’s hybrid V8 HPEV, its layout designed to evoke the sensation of being behind the wheel. Accentuating this are the stitching, colour treatments, and material finishes that echo Lamborghini’s automotive palette, reinterpreted here at a scale suited to nine guests and a full crew.

Performance, naturally, is central to the vessel’s identity. Three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines deliver a combined 7,600 horsepower, driving the yacht to a top speed of 45 knots with a steady cruising pace of 35.

And while we’re sure fans of Lamborghini will be racing to get on board, they will have to wait. The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT is not yet for sale, with the definitive model scheduled for delivery at the end of 2027.
