In this year’s Best of the Best, we honour the brands and people behind the most covetable products. Here is Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport, an SUV that makes all-terrain driving luxurious and enjoyable
The latest incarnation of Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport (from S$639,999) blends muscle with opulence. While it lacks the imposing demeanour of its bigger sibling, the classic Range Rover, this model excels in delivering a sportier and livelier driving experience. Externally, Range Rover Sport features sleek headlights, blacked-out A-pillars and commanding 23-inch alloy wheels. Its smoothly tapered roof and seamless flush glazing exude sophistication. Inside, it offers a captivating 13.1-inch touchscreen that resembles a floating iPad, housing the acclaimed Pivi Pro infotainment system.
Under the hood, the plug-in hybrid delivers 700Nm of torque and 510hp, propelling it from 0 to 100 km/hr in 5.4 seconds and offering a drive range of nearly 113km. While it excels off-road, the Range Rover Sport also boasts practical driver-assistance features such as remote park assist and a 360-degree exterior camera system, enhancing urban manoeuvrability. In sum, it’s a lithe and luxurious SUV that redefines the driving experience.
