Balenciaga Women’s Rodeo Medium Handbag
While primarily designed as a women’s accessory, the Rodeo series transcends traditional gender boundaries with its epicene silhouette, making it a versatile companion for the modern professional. A re-imagination of the conventional briefcase, the medium handbag got our wallets ready, with its perfect size measuring 13.8 x 9.2 x 4.3 inches; the team operates on a 13″ MacBook laptop. But of course, that’s not the only feature that intrigued us. It was also the smooth calfskin, removable leather key holder with two split rings, and a myriad of pockets surrounded by Nappa lambskin lining. Most importantly, its unprecedented construction that sees a budging front compartment–evoking a nonchalant allure, suggesting that securing your belongings is almost an afterthought. That said, it is fashioned with a turn lock closure for those who think otherwise.
Fendi Open Gusset Top Handle
A skill imparted to the Fendi family by Rome’s master saddlers in 1925, the Fendi Selleria stitching is explored in the Fendi Spring Summer 2024 collection, predominately the bags—case in point: the gusset top handle. Though complete details of this masterpiece remain under wraps, its facade has us sold. In an off-white leather, with a detachable shoulder strap and top handle, the bag boasts the Fendi logo in the front and centre–albeit subtly. The silhouette also sports gussets–an archetypal women’s bag feature–which can be pushed in for extra room.
Ferragamo Duffle Bag
As part of Ferragamo’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, the Maison unveiled two new bag styles, with the Duffle Bag standing out for its perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern functionality. Featuring an unstructured construction with soft leather on the outside and a suede finish inside, the model offers versatility in styling; the large flap with the front logo can be inserted inside or outside the bag. It is completed with an internal zip pocket, keychain charm, and metal feet on the bottom to protect the bag.
Gucci Jackie Leather Shoulder Bag
In his inaugural men’s collection for Gucci, Creative Director Sabato De Sarno pays homage to the Maison’s storied legacy. Drawing inspiration from the fashion mammoth’s signature colour palette, Sarno introduces a striking new hue to the iconic Jackie series: Gucci Rosso Ancora red. This latest iteration of the shoulder bag features a resplendent light gold-toned piston closure and a crescent shape, a hallmark of the Jackie repertoire. The design also includes a generously sized compartment, capable of accommodating all essentials, including an iPad, blending practicality with opulence.
