Fendi’s furniture aenigma

At the recent Design Miami 2024, Fendi presented a new body of work by London-based designer, Lewis Kemmenoe. Based on a period of research, which included field trips to museums in Rome, botanical gardens and the Fendi Factory in Tuscany, the aenigma collection invites “moments of analysis into its production”. Box joints are used in construction as well as a vehicle to integrate the Fendi FF motif, which is reimagined into timber patchwork—a staple of Lewis’ work—resulting in a collection of two chairs, a cabinet, two wall panels, three lamps, a coffee table and a Peekaboo Soft bag.
