We explore the latest yacht charters, new builds on the market and cool yachting destinations. This month, hop on board Savannah
It may not be the right time to think of hopping on a yacht, but there’s no harm in planning for the future. Here’s what we’re dreaming of: boarding the award-winning Savannah, an 83.5m Feadship hybrid yachtwith exteriors and interiors by Cristina Gherardi Design. The four-deck superyacht can be regularly seen in The Mediterranean, cruising around The Balearic Islands, Almafi Coast and Portofino.
Savannah cruises around the Mediterranean for €1 million per week. A crew of 24 will see to the needs of all 12 guests
Thinking of enjoying a soak? There’s an oval jacuzzi and a separate ninemetre, sea-facing lap pool, where the floor tiles have been designed to mimic coral reefs
The owner’s deck comes with outdoor seating, a helipad, pantry, office and a marble bathroom with his-and hers showers
The curved glass wrappings on each deck slide away easily, allowing the lounges to act as sheltered extensions of the outdoor platforms
The curved walkways make for a rather interesting and cosy journey between rooms
Apart from an outdoor jacuzzi, there’s also a hamman in the spa room
The viewing lounge is designed in such a way that half the room is underwater
