As the leaves turn and the crisp autumn air settles over Munich, travellers all around the world gear up for Bavaria’s iconic celebration, Oktoberfest. The festival attracts over six million visitors every year, welcoming the enthused to join in the celebration and indulge in the region’s famed culture and cuisine. But if you seek a unique and exclusive way to partake in the festivities, then it seems Mandarin Oriental, Munich has prepared a special experience that may be right up your alley.

Available from 21 September to 6 October 2024, the hotel’s newly launched, exclusive Oktoberfest package promises a truly unique journey into Bavarian culture. Partnering with Heimatglück Tracht, a renowned provider of traditional Bavarian attire, Mandarin Oriental, Munich offers guests a private in-room shopping session, where you can select from a variety of high-quality and custom-made traditional outfits to truly look the part for the festivities. For a more authentic experience, you may want to visit the costume provider’s flagship store instead. There, you’ll have a personalised shopping experience, where you’ll spend the day sifting through their collections of bespoke Bavarian attire, including the recognisable Dirndl and Lederhosen.

Once you’re dressed for the occasion, Mandarin Oriental, Munich will whisk you to the festival in style. The package comes with an authentic vintage bus, complete with beer and pretzels, to take you to the festival. There, you’ll have two tickets for one of the most sought-after Oktoberfest tents, where you’ll be served a traditional Bavarian menu, featuring gourmet and local dishes like roast chicken, pretzels, and pork knuckle, all while enjoying the lively atmosphere and music from traditional brass bands.

Those looking to elevate their experience can also opt for a scenic flight over the breathtaking Bavarian Alps or a creative workshop to design a custom Bavarian hat. 

With accommodations ranging from stylish deluxe rooms to the opulent Grand Presidential Suite, the package is priced from EUR 2,000 per night for two.
